Spend three relaxed Thursday evenings exploring the beauty of otters through observation and paint. Inspired by imagery and prose, we’ll study their flowing movement and distinctive forms, before creating a watercolour painting that captures these delightful creatures at play.

About the Workshop
Sharon Gibson: Otter Encounter
Three Thursday evenings spent in the presence of otters, well not actual otters unfortunately but images and prose that capture the grace and beauty of otters! We will be exploring their movement and shape as they twist and play in water and go on to produce a watercolour painting showing these delightful creatures at play.
Sessions will be 6pm – 9pm
April 2nd - The shape of an otter is difficult to capture as it frolics in the water so drawing accuracy is not our goal here. This is a chance to explore lines and marks that capture movement and suggest ‘otter’ using inks and mixed media. We will also select images to draw or trace for use in our final painting.
