In this course we will use drawing, mark making and colour washes to explore the beauty of dried flowers and seedheads. Their exquisite shapes and patterns are a wonderful subject to explore.

Course content

Every year I collect flowers such as hydrangeas, poppies, nigella and alliums and dry these either as whole flowers or seed heads. They make wonderful winter arrangements in my home, but they are also fascinating shapes with many interesting lines and marks so drawing and painting them brings me hours of pleasure that I will share with you in this course.
