Who doesn’t love a beautiful bouquet of cottage garden flowers on the table or wandering through beds of dahlias, alstroemeria, alliums and echinacea? By October they will be fading from our gardens but in this course, we will capture their beauty in watercolour and ink.
Course content
I love growing a variety of beautiful flowers in my garden and on my allotment. Their different shapes and range of vibrant or delicate colours fill me with joy, as well as attracting lots of pollinators to my plot.
In this course we will look at these flowers closely but learn to abstract their shapes whilst retaining their key characteristics. With some new brush strokes and use of other tools to create more natural irregular lines, we will create several studies before applying our new knowledge to create a bouquet painting.
