Sharon Gibson: 3 Hour Workshop - Dynamic drawing and mark making in landscape
Set in the beautiful village of Upper Arley, Arley Studios offers a bright, warm environment in which to work. Nature surrounds us and there are incredible opportunities to discover diverse landscapes right here on our doorstep.
In this course you will develop a playful approach to drawing, extending your experience of mark making media using a variety of drawing materials along with watercolour and ink. You will also produce a watercolour piece using clingfilm to create texture and learn how to add detail with marks and lines to give the impression of undergrowth.
Our aim will be to inject energy and a sense of place into our landscape art that will evoke an emotional response in the viewer. I am very keen to support students to embrace the ‘happy accident’ which helps to relieve the fear of…
