Jaime Moore: Bewdley Poppies in Watercolour

Immerse yourself in the vibrant beauty of Bewdley’s poppy fields in this relaxed and inspiring watercolour workshop.

Suitable for all abilities and working from my own reference photograph taken at the fields a few years ago, this workshop will gently guide you through to create your own expressive floral landscape using loose, flowing techniques & texture brushes.

We’ll be using wet on wet washes to achieve soft summer skies and fields, combined with delicate wet on dry details to bring our poppies to life.

We’ll explore using texture brushes to create far away trees and splashing with Gouache to create a random, natural feel within the poppies.

All materials are provided, including a mounted copy of the original photo of the poppy field for you to take home to enjoy alongside your painting.
